He’s silent, his square jaw clenched. His piercing gaze is making me stammer but I force myself to keep going.

Unable to withstand his scrutiny anymore, I bow my head and stare at my tightly clasped hands. “Yeah.”

It’s such an unexpected statement that I almost giggle. “I’m majoring in psychology. Fucking people isn’t part of the curriculum.”

He sighs and leans back. Desperate to see his face, I risk a peek. The gold ring on his pinky finger gleams as he shoves a hand through his black hair. “Obviously. I just meant… you’re old enough to drink. To attend college. Old enough to sell pictures of your naked body online.”

I nod.

“I can’t fucking believe this!”

He’s getting mad. I move to get off his lap but his arms tighten around me.
